Steering column extension

Hi,

Im wanting to know if extending a steering column by cutting, lengthening and rewelding is likely to be a problem with IVA, The modification won't affect collapsible column.

Extending the Sierra lower column is normal for locost type cars , I'm sure loads have passed IVA like it .
