Zetec Silvertop Dipstick
Can anyone confirm if this is a silvertop zetec dipstick?
Ford Zetec Dipstick Pipe
My block has the seal in the housing rather than the black top version which was on the end of the dipstick tube?
Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong
Thanks

Yes that's a silver top dip tube. As you say the black top has two beads rolled onto it to retain the O ring.
There are at least three different silver top tubes depending on manifold.

i will be using a 4 branch manifold, so I assume it will most likely not matter what which one I use?
Can I not just cut the bead off the end of a blacktop one? Already have a blacktop one!
Thanks

If you cut the top off the tube will the dipstick itself not go in too far and give you the wrong reading?
