Stuart Taylor ZX9R BEC Project

Was a well sorted car in it's day, built with all the right bits, and could mix it with the bigger boys on track, however i blew it up at Cadwell around 8 years ago, i quickly dropped a replacement engine in, but then for one reason or another it went into storage on a mates farm where it's been until spring last year when i retrieved it from the corner of a dusty barn, despite being covered by a tarpaulin it was full of straw, leaves bird poo and spiders etc

The intention was to revive it and do some track days, but it's just not happened, i made a start, but my heart's just not in it any more. Have considered breaking it, but would rather it went to a good home, it really was a good car. Handled exceptionally well and did a 12.99 sec quarter at York on 888's

The years in storage have taken their toll, bodywork is tatty and any bare metal parts have surface rust on them (brake disks etc)
it's only superficial, i cleaned up one disk in a matter of minutes with a scotch-brite pad. The stainless exhaust has taken a knock and is split, but would weld up ok.

i put a new battery on and the engine fired up straight away, but it's running at a really high tick over, carbs will require stripping and cleaning, the petrol in it is 8 years old (looks more like diesel) so needs dumping.

In short it needs a good fettling to revive it, however due to other automotive interests i've not got the time or inclination so am offering it for sale, will make a great car for someone willing to put in a bit of effort, a good weekends work would do it.

I take it the car isn't registered ?

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
