Classic Car Valuation - MG Advice

Going to be looking at a 45 year old MG shortly and it was fully restored about a year ago (Wings, sills, interior etc)

All looks good however in its history it was an Insurance write off around 10 years ago

Will this have an affect on its value now OR due to the fact its 45 years old and has had a full restoration will it not really be an issue?

Always bought cars primarily on condition previously but haven't bought anything this old before...

Also quite a few classics get re-bodied and that isn't an issue is it? (this one hasn't been though)

Advice & comments appreciated

Yes it would make a difference but if it’s done properly and the price is right it shouldn’t put you off as it was 10 years ago

The main issue will be if there is ever another insurance payout on the car. An insurance company won't want to payout the full value of a car if they've already paid out previously. This will effect the value of the vehicle.
