Mk2 polo stock handbrake replacement or upgrade

Hi all. Hope you are well. As above, looking to fix the handbrake on my mk2 polo. When i got her, previous owner had replaced the fuel tank with the wrong tank. Fitted a larger one from a later polo. As such, the mounting point had to be moved and was not refitted securely enough. The whole pulley assembly actually came off and ended up on my drive and is still not quite right. I'm aware that the original parts are discontinued. Is anyone aware of a set up from a different car that would fit and be easy to replace parts should need arise due to mot or general wear and tear?
The fuel tank issue has been sorted. I fitted the correct tank as the bigger one, the filler neck had been wedged in such a way that the filler hose had been damaged and caused a leak.
