What have I done wrong this time???

Just had some polly bushes delivered for the front wishbones are they are way too big. They are advertised as locost wishbone bushes so I thought they would be correct?

They are 38mm long (43 with the inserts). And about 29mm thick on the bit that goes inside the wishbones.

Are the wishbones wrong or the bushes? getting sick of this car now should have built the chassis myself from scratch

Did you build the car yourself?

Might pay to press the existing bushes out of the wishbones and take them to a motor factor and see if they can size them for you and suggest replacements.

From your photo it also looks like the existing bushes take an M10 bolt and the replacement ones take an M12 bolt (or imperial equivalents).

Again a decent motor factor should be able to guide you on getting the right parts.

I think you've got metalastic bushes fitted. These came from a triumph herald. Iirc the bolt size is. 11/16.

Yeah it turns out they are Triumph ones. Have spoken to the company and they are happy to exchange these ones for a set of correct ones.

Cheers gents
