Its right but it does not look right

Well finally fitted the body work back to the car after painting and I will never deal with "race weight" fibreglass again!
I have spoken to two different fibreglass laminaters and they have seen nothing like it but that is another story and I still a little sore about it.

The car has been professional set up (well the best it could be with the miss matched parts it was built from) and is running in "road trim"
So 115mm under the front rail it is also running 16" rims and before the flame attack its a road car and I like the look of them but in all seriousness
the 205/45 R16 are only 7mm larger in radius than say 195/50 R15 (RAW standard fitment) or 205/60 R13.

So does it look odd or is it just me?

it looks good except it looks a little jacked up,... I have 100 or so under the lowest point on the car but not the most vicious speed bumps in the county,.

I do prefer the Fury's Le Mans bonnet but the lines of the Phoenix rear won the day.

It needs to be on 13" rims not 16", just makes it look strange.

Looks like its a rock and hard place saituation.
Wheels need to be 50-70mm up in to the arches to look right IMO, but this isnt feasible with ride height being at reasonable level already.
Wheels are already over sized so smaller will make it worse.
Any chance the bodywork can be lowered?

Have you tried lowering those 15 mm and leave 100 mm at the front?
That may improve the look and not be too detrimental regarding sleeping policemen.
Also I think the angle of the pifture exacerbates the effect of big wheels....

Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....

Stick some 20 inch wheels on it. That'll fill the arches. 🤪🤪🤪🤪

As the wheel size seems to be taking the perspective away from the perceived issue issue i will put on a set of 13" tomorrow and re-photograph
HowardB comment that it "looked a little jacked up" is what I see also.
I would be shocked if any one could tell the difference between 7mm ride height.

Picture doesn't look too bad, maybe taken from a lower point shows it better.

If you can keep an even wheel gap to arch all round, that normally will look good. A little bit lower if you want a more aggressive look.
Will that be like 40-60mm lowering?

To my eyes, you've got about 20mm more clearance above the tops of your tyres, compared to HowardB's car, though it's hard to tell by the angle
I think, that's what your eye is drawn to, rather than the height of the actual car

though, as your tyres are 14mm greater diameter than stock, add on that 20mm extra clearance to the wheel arch, suggests that it's about 30mm too high

Which does tie in if you look at the body line under the door, continue it on and look where it intersects with the rear wheel, compare the 2 pictures, your's does look like the whole car is much higher
