Space frame mini

Hi all,

Not been active on here for a while as I’ve been busy with motorbikes for a few years since selling my Westfield.

I’ve got a hankering for a new project car now though, and looking at a few different options that have appealed over the years:

One of the options I’ve always fancied is a space frame mini.

There don’t seem to many kits out there as far as I can see, and they’ve always seemed to be expensive (always loved the Z Cars Monte Carlo but there’s no affordability for me there!).

I would love to do something along the lines of a Class 7 Autograss mini pickup, so wonder if an autograss chassis could be used as a decent base to build from?

Are there any options out there I’m missing, or plans that I could work from as a base?

Cheers,

Steve

Yeah I’d seen that before and it was not too badly priced on the face of it (but these things never are until you delve into the finer points of building a car!).

It’s a chunky looking beast, but I reckon it would have been a good base to build from using the mgf, then maybe make some lighter tubular subframes and drop in something better than a K Series at a later date (like a Volvo T5 unit or Saab Turbo V6 lump...)
