C20XE redtop 7 degs incline

Do c20xe engines need to be run at 7 degrees, my thoughts say its a packaging issue for FWD, Im running a manta alloy sump and RWD, if I set engine to 7 deg, the bottom of the sump is at 7 deg too, so, by deduction if I set the sump at 0, the top of the engine is too, my gut feeling is run it upright, or does it have to be laid over for oil return issues, any thoughts?

Will be fine, the oil return talk is rubbish.
I've seen people say it must be run at 7 degrees or one of the cams will run dry ffs!

It was set at 7 degrees in FWD set up due to something to do with the driveshafts

Peugeot 205 GTI engines (1.6 XU5 and 1.9 XU9 (same engine block)) are laid back in their FWD setup. The engines are fairly tall. I suspect they're laid back in FWD installs to achieve a lower bonnet line clearance. The sumps on them have angled bases to aid with oil drainage.

I believe the engine has been used in RWD setup in a 7 type car before (not sure what gearbox). Not sure if it remained laid at the same angle or upright. Logic tells me it may have been laid at the same angle purely to get under the 7 bonnet.
