Total length required

Hi,
This has probably been asked a million times.
Does anyone know roughly how much length is required of 25x25, 19x19 and 19 round?
Cheers,
Pat...

Well, I added up a book chassis and its about 100ft of 1x1 20ft of 3/4 x 3/4 and 18ft 3/4 round.

I was told you should add about 10% to the length and with careful cuts you should have enough.

Its not too bad, I phoned the steel shop and worked out to about $300 CAN. or about 120 Pounds/Quid what ever you guys call it

Wow, £120 seems a lot.
My steel cost around £50 + Vat = around £59.
And that was including a sheet of 4ft x 2ft 3mm Plate.

Don't forget when ordering steel items like the scutle which uses a C of 25x25 RHS as a base.

Also front wheel mudguard mounts.

I'm sure theres more but these 2 are the ones I can think of at the moment.

All depends when you get your steel. steel prices are quite variable from one moment to the next.

Pat,

Bear in mind you'll need some more if you're doing the Cymtriks' mods to your chassis.

Cheers,
James

I can not remember the exact cost of my steel but it was about £160-180 but that included 4x8 foot sheats of 3mm and 16swg. It may also include the CDS for suspension (2 x 6m lenghts).
