Just bought new convertible
Ok, you could call me a hairdresser but I like convertibles,
I looked at BMW318CiSE £25000
A4 conv at £24500
Saab 93 at about £24000
Volvo at C.£24000
but plumped for the same car that I have now
Astra convertible special edition £15500
I know the others are better in some ways but I cant warrent spending the extra £10k ish
The one I have now ws £19k 3 years ago!!
Cant be a bad buy....
What would you lot have bought?

AGM WLR!
or an SL55 AMG, on finance.
it is nice to have a soft top though, or folding hard top.

Not an Astra convertible for £15k
Personally I'm not a fan of convertibles myself. For £15k I would choose a Leon Cupra TDI (like I have now) or a 2nd hand Elise (I know
it's a convertible, but there's always the eception to the rule)

If I had 15K to spend over there I wouldnt know where to start.
See we dont have alot of cool cars over here. All of are look the same, there is nothing edgy about them.
The Vaxhuall 220 (I think thats the name) is a really cool looking car, same with the Elise. We dont have anything like that over here.
Hell, even are Fords suck here.
I think if I had to buy one it would probly be a Clio V6. I know they arnt the best cars but they are so exotic to me I would love it. Or maybe a TVR?
See too many choices!!!!
Best thing to do for a build....
Ditch the wife!

I must agree...the Elise is a fantastic car. Went out for a ride in one last summer...fantastic, one of the best handling production cars IMO. Look
damned nice too!

Tvr tuscan, removable hard top,can pick em up for around 18k if you shop around, blistering performance, a very underrated supercr, and in my
offinion, the mostbeautiful car on the planet.
sorry, that wasnt in your list!
the beemers look good, but id definitely go for removable hard top rather than convertible - onvertibles look good roof-down, but terrible with the
canvas hood in my oppinion.

you miss the point....I have a seven and an estate car. This is for mainly business and running kids about.
Oh and of course, I'm in Devon where the sun always shines....well sort of.

If you like going backwards when one nanosecond earlier you were going forwards i would go for it
Rumour has it that 'The Stig' couldnt keep it the right way round when they tested it for top gear - he put in an incredibly slow lap
given the cars credentials on paper, he had to drive it like a granny to keep it pointing in the right direction.

But I don't have a dog or kids and the wife has her own car (plus she doesn't like my driving too much anyway).
And my Indy should be on the road for the summer - I hope
