total kit car live!

just noticed on the total kitcar web site, that they have organised a kitcar show and go,at brands hatch on the 17th september

you get to take test drives in cars and view the show all for £5

if its well suported it will be a annual event
(i recon it will end up replacing donington)

cant do the link thing but im sure one of you can help out there

Sounds brill!
Specially if you compare it to Staffords RIP OFF £9 entrance
Biggest problem in this country is we keep getting burned and don`t vote with our feet often enough, be it Shows, Restaurants, Shops, whatever
If its a good event people will travel to it even if its down south

I'll be going (if I get finished in time), should be a good run out, Newcastle to Brands Hatch and back.

I sent Steve an email asking if he would open the track up like Donnington, and if there was any camping. Perhaps if there is enough interest they may consider a track day for all, not just the manufacturers?

I personally hope that it doesn't replace Donington.

Firstly Donington is a MUCH more suitable track for 7 type cars than Brands Hatch.

Another point is that it takes the best part of 5 hours to get to Brands from Cheltenham with the car on a trailer and there is no way I'd drive my car down as it is just pure motorway ..... I'd be deaf, wouldn't be able to walk and (after a major smash 15 years ago at Brands Kart circuit I am lucky to still have 2 legs!!!).

Just an alternative point of view as a non-Southerner.......

Got a reply from Steve Hole.

Good news for those of us travelling down "There will be FREE camping available."

Not so good regarding opening the track to owners "As regards owners driving I'm not sure. The idea of the day is for manufacturers to demonstrate their wares to potential new customers BUT I'll discuss the possibility of perhaps an owners session during the day with Brands Hatch."

This year it clashes with Goodwood Revival
Do you think that next year, they could avoid the 'clash'?
