front suspension top mounts

Is there any reason why the top mounts on the front of a locost can't be put on the top rail similar to a caterham setup?my first question so be gentle

Moving suspension mounts will change the suspension geometry. I would suspect for worse, unless you know what your doing. Which is why I wouldn't bother myself.
