Nissan Engine

Just out of Interest does anyone know if its possible to fit a post 1998 Nissan 200sx engine into an MK?

I drive a 1999 nissan 200sx everyday as my normal car which I have added a boost upgrade and inductiopn kit. I reckon it would be a great engine in an MK

Thoughts anyone?

Dave...

200sx engine

Some one is fitting a 200sx engine to a MK at the moment, don't no if its the early 1.8 or the later 2.0 though, but I see on being measured up at MK,SNOOPY may be able to give some further details.
cheers Paul

whats the weight compared to the Pinto?
i was under the impression the Pinto is the heaviest the chasis can handle without twisting or over flexing... then again i only read what other have wrote.

nissan engine

i believe that BPJ Services may be able to help the nissan 200sx query as they do some bellhousings to join nissan and other engines to type 9 and other gearbox to allow front front engine rear drive format

Crikey, you'd almost be able to bolt the diff straight to the back of the gearbox and not need a prop! How big?

The CA18DET fits in a 7 easier

The SR20DET is quite tall, so would need a massive bulge in the bonnet, the sump is pretty odd so you'd be a bit limited at taking heught out there.
