The old Peugeot rims on Ford hubs chestnut

I have been offered some nice aftermarket 15" Peugeot rims, ET15, 7" just about ideal for my car.

I know about the centre bore difference but I think I can get conversion spigots (anyone got a definate supplier?). The only thing that bothers me is the taper of the nuts, they felt a bit curved as opposed to the straight ford ones - was this just my imagination?

Pug wheels need flat headed nuts, whereas Ford ones are tapered. You can't just use Pug nuts though because the thread is different to Ford hubs.

All is not lost tho' - Speedshack stock all the bits to mix and match the various fitments. See www.speedshack.co.uk altho it's best to phone (and speak to Steve)

Seem to remember Elite Wheels in Rainham, Essex can supply the spigot rings.

you need flat faced sleeve nuts to fit the pug wheel-nut bores in the wheels, but with M12x1.5 thread (Pug are M12x1.25) and you need thin spigot rings. I have the measurements somewhere!

I am just going to turn some from some steel tube scrap.

Did all Pugs have flat faced nuts, I know the 205/309 GTi types did, but these are from a 306, and are definately tapered, but feel partially spherical tapers if you see what I mean.

I am going to have to start pulling wheels off cars at work to see what has what!

My 406 Mi16 wheels are tapered seats, I thought the 205 / 309 were too (could be wrong though). Tapers are standard 60° so Ford nuts fit fine.

all the 205 1.9 gti wheels (the speedline ones) that I have are flat faced seats for sleeve nuts. They all seem to be like it on the pug 1.9 wheels as I have a lot of them from when I had the rally car!
