So whats a Luego Locost like to build?

I'm about to leap into the murky depths of kit car building....

I've got the Ron Champion book (well read), I've got a limited mechanical knowledge and an empty garage.

Out of all the non Caterham and Westfield kits, the Luego Locost looks the mutts - but I'd appreciate your views on how simple(?) the Locost is to build....

When building any kit, you will experience a real roller coaster ride of emotions, all driven by spending time in the garage. Somedays it will be shitty, others will be happy times. Sometimes you will be vergeing on suicidal. But the day your car finally hits the road it will all be worthwhile and quite possibly one of the best days of your life. Honestly........

Build a Luego and Go

Hi Gazza, I am a little bias towards Luego Sports Cars, however we have taken a great deal of time and money improving the quality of our product and 9 times out of 10 all the bits fit like a glove. So no grinding, hammering or shouting is needed with a Luego Kit.

Well to put my 2p in...

StuartA and I have a Luego chassis and we are very happy with the quality.

Now we aren't total experts on such things and haven't seen any others up close (only in pictures) but ours look high quality especially with the power coating.

As we haven't got it on the road yet, we'll have to see if the strength of the chassis lives upto expectations (and our driving style )

Luego Bits

We hope so, Chris.
Gazza, I would say go for the Velocity this is IRS with a chassis & GRP that can take the Pinto, so it is nearly a one-donor sports car. All the best, Grant.

Winter Warmer

That deal is still running until the end of the month. The lead-time is 12 to 16 weeks. We will need a 50% deposit and the rest when you pick the kit up. Give me a call on 01733 552911 and we can get you on board. Best Regards Grant.
