Polo Rad - Will it Fit?

Got what i thought was a bargain on ebay, Polo Rad from 1litre, but when it arrived it is approx 515mm x 380mm.
Which i fear is too big
I have searched hard on here but can't find a definate answer, Will it fit?
Not too bothered if it doesnt as it cost peanuts and i will see if the local scrappie will swap it for the right one

I have used a Micra rad in my ZR but the alternative is the Polo rad. i dont think there is anything special about the size of my nosecone so it should fit OK.

Should do, but mine is the same as surrey daves'. It may depend on your nosecone. Mine is definitely a 1.0 polo rad (£45 incl. vat from my local motor factors) and it fits in my Stuart Taylor nosecone fine.

Chris_R had a rad from a Rover, which he was trying to fit into a nose cone.

See this thread here

There is also a side view in my photo archive of the cardboard one in an Indy nosecone.

Thanks Guys
My core size is 430x322
i may just keep it until i get my bodywork sorted
Only cost £13 so not too much to lose if it is too big

I used a polo which had a large water tank on the side of the rad so i uncliped the sides and used the sides off a scrap golf rad. The upside was the scrap rad came with 3 speed fan and cowling nicely modded and sensor, hoses in different position.. but all mounts well inside the cone.

got a rough pic in the archive... as i said .. cut off the extra fan and weld the thing in a cut n shut fashion.. must take a picture of it .. looks good...

I bought a brand new Polo rad off ebay for £20 (about 512mm wide) didn't fit. Apparently it was a mk2 instead of a mk1 which I think is 477mm wide.
I fitted a mk2 Escort one instead.
Cheers
Jon
