Those inlet tracts look incredibly short, but I suppose this is due to the very hight RPMs... Amasing footage - I wonder if those exterior injectors
are just for full power enrichment.

I think water injection is to reduce charge temperatures and therefore detonation caused by forced induction ie Super and turbo charging.
