looks well, quick tip, you may want too take the two rails out the engine bay as chances are you will prob have too move one or both, unless of course
you have it all in hand and are sure there not gonna get in way of your engine choice in which case you ignore the "quick tip"
I would recommend too all builders you leave the engine bay a "big open space" until your drop the engine in for the 1st trial fit.

The GTS chassis will accept the zetec as drawn. However you may have to modify engine mount plates.
There are also issues with oil filter to steering down link clearance if using "silver top". I fitted a take off and remote filter head.
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!

How tall is this chassis?
I want to build a +442, and by going the same way (L shape nose construction) it might just work to use the +4 drawings and add 50 mm on top.
What do you think...Omega ?

The gts chassis is close to the book. I dont think that adding 50 mm on top of the L section would alter it much but it will change the angle of
Fu1+2 .
I understand that Gts may be making available the wider drawings ???

What is the hight of the chassis?
I am using McSorley's drawings as a base, but when he goes to the +442 ( on order to keep the 116.6 Deg of LA and LB ...LD gets very short 25 mm
shorter than the Book chassis and 100mm shorter than the +4 LD member.
That is why this "L" design might solve that problem.

Well I've made the alterations to my front 442 and they are in my archive. As I've never built before I can't say whether there will
be any problems farther on in the build due to my alterations ( I hope not) . Although mcsorelys plans are well enough detailed it does not
take into account what steering gear, or wishbones you are using, so you just have to get on with it yourself and adapt and alter as you see fit and
hope for the best (but expect the worst)
I suppose the next problem will be sourcing a nose cone and setting up for the scuttle.
By the wat it took me 4 days to set up and be happy with my front setup. A challenge indeed ,but much learnt.

Thanks
Soo it is 100% book hight.
.... Still think the "L" uprights will solve the 442 front end problem.

I thought that you already had a nice chassis for that spangly engine to fit ?
A bit of reverse engineering going on......
Looks very good though, wish I'd built my own.....

Yeh well ,temp change of fortune saw it going to a new home..
The bit I was most gutted about was it had a full race cage and a bit of history(Was meant to have been built by Ron himself)..
Bit that didnt bother me was that it was full of rivett holes which all needed plug welding before redrilling... Well I would of any way as Im mega
fussy...
It had a small amount of accidant damage to be sorted aswell...Could of done that easy tho.....
Just one of those things..Besides I decided I wanted the experiance of doing the whole thing from scratch...Im in know rush to finish as from past
history Ill just flogg it for a loss to start on a new toy Infact ive had a go on a m8's 4.2l v8 trike this week and I fancy a go at that
an-all..
