4age timing pulley removal?

Has anyone got any tips on removing the Crankshaft timing belt pulley? My puller is too big... Also where can i get a new one from as I have now broken the backplate edge trying to pry it off with a lever?

I'm trying to fit a new oil pump and need this pulley off if you are wondering...

A slide hammer works well. They can be VERY tight though.

Ben.

I have encountered the same problem with that b@$tard pulley. I have tried soaking it in WD40 for nights to no avail.

In the end i just had to hammer to off and find a relacement. The edges chip so easliy that one wrong move and its knackered anyway, once that happens it has to come off one way or another.....

Hmmm I have broken the edges too. Where did you get a new one from? Is it a dealer part?

if its buggered anyway, a good quality and sized cold chissel in between the teeth on the pulley and a good hammer shoud split it
