Quick Qu. about bike helmets

I searched the forum quickly but didn't find anything. I wanted to know what the laws are on tinted visors on helmets and their use in kit cars i.e.

I think they're illegal to use on motorbikes (read it somewhere) and I was wondering if the same applied to kit cars? I assume it's illegal, just wanted to check as I can't find out anywhere

Seeing as you don't need to wear a skid lid in a car on the roads i'm sure any type will do.

Now thats a good question,
Been tugged by plod on my bike with tinted visor but I doubt they would harrass a car driver.
Up to 25% tint is allowed during daylight on a bike IIRC.

Always annoyed me cos it is perfectly legal to wear sunglasses at night, (albeit a little foolish)

asked a very kind police officer this very question yesterday after he requested i stop for a quick chat. (was going a wee bit too fast)

he said as there is no regulations stating the need to wear a helmet in such a vehicle then there are no regulations on the type of visor you can use. he did then go on to mention the whole thing of tinted windows on cars and the light laws regarding them, i think roughly translated even the police aren't sure but you should be ok within reason.

built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.
