cutting at the right angle

Hi All,

the last week i bought a support for my angle grinder, see the image.
I did some tests, i had few spare time, but the precision of the angle it's very poor.
My question is.. the tool is ok and i need more practice, or do you use something different?

-P

PS: since build a chassis myself is not "enought difficult", i'll try to make it in round tubes..

Hi. Wouldn't bother with the cutting tool, get yourself a vice, marker pen, t-square, hacksaw and a file.

That's all you'll need for cutting.

As for round tube, wouldn't bother (but if you do insist on round, you tool will be completely useless).

I got one of these and broke it, it was fairly crap anyway.

Use an angle grinder with a 1mm stainless cutting disk - knife thro butter.

I also downloaded McSorleys plans and marked the angles directly by laying the tube onto the pages - easy peasy.

Thanks all for you help. I'll try as said Simon.

Jasper, i did more or less the same, i printed my cad drawing using a plotter and i glued the paper directly to the wood.
It's the most easy and precise method i found.
