Pretty damn narrow if they fit an Avon - I would guess under 340mm.....

Mac#1 have them on the website as:

MAC#1 composite race seats (untrimmed) £130 each

http://www.mac1motorsports.co.uk/parts_dept.htm

As a matter of interest did anyone measure them?

Mac#1 ones or somewhere else? The price is similar to other high quality GRP seats that don't need trimming.

Those are the one SMB was offering aren't they?

He posted these prices a while back (bit more than he seems to have quoted you), but hasn't been around for a while.

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=42906

Some comments along the lines of well made, but not suiting everyone (too laid back) were made in the last thread he posted to.

Have you looked at Triton/MK seats? Though they are roughly the same as Mac#1 on price. Another option in Aluminium are Kirkeys though they are imported from Canada/US so are a bit of a pain to try out - some of the autograss suppliers stock a limited range. Making your own ally ones is possible there are even some plans on the web.

Let us know whatever you get - always interesting to have options.

they are the ones offered by SMB...

i'll have a read of the article link in a minute..

Do you have a web address for viewing Triton/MK seats?

I have looked with google although I wasnt able to fine any really.

These are the prices, quite good i think although Im looking for something a bit cheaper or second hand.

£97
£169 w/padding

Triton was a regular hear until his wife got sick. Do a search to find lots of pictures.

MK seats are on their website http://www.mksportscars.co.uk/parts.htm
price is £117.50 inc vat.

Kirkey aluminium seats are http://www.kirkeyracing.com/

Sold by http://www.bpgrassing.co.uk/
and http://www.randallmotorsport.co.uk/
(and demon tweeks IIRC)
