Numpty caliper question

I'm refurbing a pair of M16s. I have replaced the piston seals, dust boots, nipples etc. In the refitting kit were two small tubes of grease. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do with them?

Surely I'm not supposed to grease the pistons? Is it for greasing the back of the new seals?

All help gratefully received!

The pistons are simply lubricated with brake fluid so the grease is just for the seals

Raz
