vx 2.5 v6
hi was wondering if any one knows the height of a vx 2.5 v6 from an Omega fully dressed. Suppose i should have got the donor before building the
chassis but since its a +4 i thought it should be fine height wise. I didn't consider that this only effects the width of the chassis!
Regardless i've decided this is the engine i want and will make the mods the the chassis as necessary. I'm hoping to travel to England in
September to get a decent donor as they are next to impossible to find for little money here.
thanks for any help
my aim is to build my own locost wether it takes me a week or 10 years to get started, i'm sure i will sometime

excellent thanks for the pics. They sort of worry me now though. That car has throttle bodies and yet the engine still sits quite high. I
don't have £1500 for throttle bodies so i think i'd be forced to stick with the standard intake which sits higher than the heads. Does
someone know any fixes to my dilema?

I wouldn't say the meggy plenum sits up any higher than the top of his fuel rail. You could make the chassis an inch or two taller without it
looking out of proportion (like an MK indy) and get the engine as low as possible. But your only real solution will be a big bonnet bulge!!

i can see a BIGGG scoop goin on the front to cover the engine was really looking for clean lines though heres a pic of an engine without the heads
on. I see what you mean though his fuel rail is pretty high.

I think you'll get away with quite a reasonably subtle bulge. I think you can give yourself more height than a westy to play with as i said
above. Wont be anything quite as extreme as this that's for sure...
