Not the normal donor

well i have just completed on a deal for a old type rx7 as a donor.

I think this will be an excellent powerplant for a locost and it has the relevant running gear required but what do you guys think?

My other idea is that the rotary engines are low compression so perfect fo turboing or nosing

the rotary is an eccelent motor if treated with respect. i would not consider turboing an older engine, although the compression is lowish the apex seals are not up to the task. and if it has been given hell in the past the chrome lining in the rotor housings could be getting thin. is it a 13b or 12a rotory? and how much power you after?

its a 12a and i will be reconing it so should be ok and im looking to run as standard and then turbo later on.
i have never heard of a seven having a rx 7 engine in it but ther we go i thought it was a perfect engine.

If you can solve the exhaust (lots of heat and noise) then its perfect.
