it may upset some people .....

but a restaurant has opened in India called "Hitler's Cross" :huh:

as mentioned on the radio today, a name that may upset some.

They then wittered on about other businesses with unusal names and the following* came up:

Concrete seller ........................................... Jim'll Mix It
Fish and Chips shop on Isle of Wight ............. The Cod Father
An art and picture shop ............................... Gallery Singleton
A tree surgeon ............................................ John Oaks
Cleaneres in St. Albans ............................... Spruce Spring Clean
A baker's ................................................... Heat Loaf
A sports shop ..............................................Merchant of Tennis
A Chinese medicine practitioner ................... Dr Wu
A tobacconists ............................................ Fume and Chew
A Cafe ....................................................... Mr Tea

and my favourite, a window cleaner ............. Chamois Davies Jr (pron. Shammy)

There use'd to be a chinese restaurant in Knightsbridge (I think) that was called "Ho Lee Fok".

And there's a company that'll do your ironing for you in Suffolk - "The Iron Lady"

I use a chinese takeaway in Folkestone called HO HO, when they answer the phone a lady says "Herro Ho Ho", at which point i crack up and have to hang up before i wet myself, it usually takes me three or four tries before i can place my order.

A mate of mine used to work at a company called "Gorgeous". If you phoned him at work the receptionist answered the phone "Hello gorgeous, how can I help you"

Not quite as much of a play on words as them, there is a barbers on Kingsland Road in London (around the corner from where I used to live) called 'It'll Grow Back'!

It made me chuckle....

Saw two vans in London time some ago.

First was a removal/house clearance company caller Carter, Whey and Tippet

Second was Raj Builders with the motto "You've tried the cowboys now try the Indians".
