GRP or plastic VS heat
will GRP or Carbon Fiber withstand the heat of used for an intake manifold?
Might be easier to use than aluminum for my GSXR TB's on a 4age head.
any ideas?

lotus used GRP for airboxes. eg excel and esprit at least.
Reverie will sell you a very expensive carbon airbox.......

I've been making carbon fibre intakes since 1989, for special applications and small block Fords.
The fibre isn't the concern, it's the resin.
Normal poly resin is useless, as it has a Tg (glass transition temperature, ie. turns from hard to putty) of 85c at best.
I use epoxy with a Tg well in excess of 120c.
Then there's how you do the head end, and if water goes through it, well...........
