GRP or plastic VS heat

will GRP or Carbon Fiber withstand the heat if used for an intake manifold?

Might be easier to use than aluminum for my GSXR TB's on a 4age head.

any ideas?

Should do - it works ok on a lot of modern cars. They use injection moulded polymers, typically with a glass filler for stability & strength. It'll be a complex tool if you intend to make a 1/2 decent job

Hm...wouldn't use GRP post-injector even with epoxy resin.

CF - probably ok?

Can't believe it's that hard to get 4 pipes welded to a flange....

Have a lookunder the bonnet of any modern professional racecar, and quite a number of production cars.

Plastics and composite intakes by the dozen.

Aluminium will be quicker and cheaper though. No plugs and moulds to make.
