South Brum October Meet

Disaster has struck this month - of the 6 cars we would normally have on the road there's only one left

So this month we have decided to join a local group from The Sylva Register at their monthly meeting for a "pint and chat" evening.

Se we'll be at;

The Fleur De Lys,
Lowsonford,
Henley-in-Arden,
B95 5HJ

on Thursday 5th October around 19:30 - 20:00.

There's a map HERE

Tonights the night.

Only slight problem is it's currently pissing down.

It'll be dry inside the pub though so no excuses

Aye, not the best weather, but I'll be there, in the Mojo unless it turns torrential! Think the pub will probably draw us in sooner than normal though...

Hope to see you later!

Neil

Us Locosters were a bit thin on the ground last night! However Alan Stevens, Dave Jones and I made it over to The Fleur De Lys at Lowsonford and met with 8 or so guys and 3 gals from the Sylva owners club.

Two people brought their cars and I'm ashamed to say both were Sylvas. Neil with his Sylva Mojo and another guy (Chris I think) with a Sylva Fury. Neils car has a 1.8 Zetec engine fitted with motorbike throttle bodies and an Emerald ECU. Alan was keen to have a look at the installation but it was too dark! Whilst the Fury was fitted with a high spec' Pinto. Big cam's, ported head, twin 45s etc... The owner said it was so unhappy at low revs that he had to stay above 50mph for it to drive smoothly. Others had finished cars but didn't bring them (just like me) whilst more were still building. There was talk of the Fiat 2.0 Twin cam engine and a Zetec being put in a Fury and a K Series engine in a Mojo.

All in all a good evening of car related chatter, we were made very welcome and I for one will be visiting again. Preferably in my car.

Thanks again Neil,

Justin

I didn't make it having gone to the sylva meet for the first time last month in my Phoenix. Weather put me off and I had to sort some stuff out as I'm off to China tomorrow.

Will hopefully be there regularly though.

Chris
