Trail Tech Vapor Dash
Have posted on the interior section, but thought I'd post here too as nobody seems to have used one of these yet!!
I have just bought a TrailTech Vapor speedo/dash and it is a seriously impressive piece of kit!!!
Does all the usual pushbike speedo trip, speed etc functions, but is also backlit, has lcd revcounter, water temp gauge, ambient temp gauge, shift

really nicely to boot. Cunningly it can accept any power input from internal battery to 400v AC or DC any polarity!!!
It's currently £56 + carriage + VAT, which isa bit of a bargain I think!
Reckon it would mount nicely in a steering wheel too!

This is my big issue with bike speedo's - my crossflow is only going to rev to 6000ish as well.
(plus i want oil temp & pressure)

rpm display doesn't go high enough for mine
Although they quote max 20,000 the display only manages 12,000

I thought you were doing a proper crossflow Mike..............you'll need more than a weedy 6000 revs!!!
My vauxhall will only go to 8000, don't see the issue really, how often do you look at the rev counter? Its nice to have but you hardly drive
the car from it!!
Why oil temp? Its a crossflow, pulling less weight than it did in the escort and with more airflow round the sump.
I wasn't even bothering with a water temp gauge in my 7, but seeing as this thingy has one I may as well connect it up.

Most gauges like that one (and the MyChron I use for karting) has an adjustable rev counter limit.

I was looking at these the other day. Was impressed although it does look like a push bike speedo
Will either be getting one of these or an acewell in the next month

I'm really not a big fan of digital dashes, but this does seem like an excellent price given the functionality, and would make a very neat
installation.
I agree that it would be nice if they produced one with a more CEC firendly tachometer range

NS dev you made me smile with that one I look at my rev counter at the exact point in time i realise i have run out of revs ( usually while overtaking
things ) ie about 6250 !!!!
PS it is also of use it motorway it top gear as somtimes my spedo stops working due to an intermittant wiring fault that i cant trace ( limited
millage policy - Think it through )
the next ecu has a rpm cut so will be a thing of the past.

yea that strange speedo fault is most annoying, and yep, revcounter would be handy then.
Never fitted one in the grasser, the engine makes that bbbbbbbbbbb popping and banging noise when its revving too much You can't change
gear there either as it loses too much time changing 4 times each lap, so you just don't listen to the engine!!!! Oh yea, found a nice
way to stop the popping and banging too, just reprogram the limiter............................unfortunately the banging is a lot louder and more
brief then
