Ali interior panels

Can anyone tell me what thickness ali they've used to panel the interior of the car (back panel and tunnel).

I was thinking 2mm for the back panel and 1.2mm for the tunnel, but this may be a bit thin and too easy to dent.

Any opinions

Used 1mm on rear bulkhead and tunnel sides, and 1.5mm on tunnel top. Its all pretty solid once its riveted in and you would have to kick it pretty hard to damage it.

Is it fairly to bend?

I guess there's a middle ground between weight, strength and maliability.

Yep if you ask for half hard... If you ask a good supplyer and explain it's use you should get a corrosion resistant ali that polishes well to..

You do need to get the correct grade as some goes hard with time, unless stored at low temp, some "cheap" ali might be stuff thats gone hard.. This is the case for some aircraft ali as I understand it...

So, the general consenses is that 1mm(ish) is enough.

Does anyone know of a place near York where I can get some ali?

I picked up a card for RnR Aluminium stockholders who were exhibiting at Stoneleigh. They are at Arnold just the other side of Beverley if that is not too far. Tel no 01964 501207 or 07710 314662
