Rover on Carbs

Hi All,

I have just took the plunge and taken my locost of the road and removed the engine (As you do). Right now I am planning on fitting a rover k series lump but am waying up my options.

I already have the following:

Rover 214 full car good engine
Caterham Manifold
Caterham Low Lying Sump
Alloy bellhousing for Type 9 (Need type 9 tho)
Can get some mounts made.

Now what do I do,

Fit the rover engine with everything from the doner or:

Fit the rover on carb's (How would I go about this)

The engine I tool out was a 1300cc xflow so what would be required in getting it running.

Any help apriciated, or if someone wanted to lend a hand that would be great.
Cheers
Ian

You may need the type 9 gearbox from a V6 2.8 ford (capri or sierra) as it has a longer input shaft for the caterham bellhousing.

You may also need the crank drilling for a caterham spigot bearing. The 1.4 and 1.6 usually need the mod, The 1.8 has a larger hole. Do a search on blatchat to get more details.

Also search humbugs posts on here as he has a 1.4 k in his car.
