e bay woes - Advice required
My son bought some items, privately, on e bay using a pay pal 'cheque'
Unfortunately, the items did not arrive although the seller said he sent them.
What is the best course of action?
Can he get his money back, if so, how?

open up a dispute on paypal. if the seller cannot provide proof the item was delivered (not just proof of sending) then the money will be refunded to
you.
I know this because I sold a nitrous kit. Got them money and sent it out, the guy then claimed his money back and because I had no proof of delivery -
just proof of postage, he got all £350 of his money back, and the nitrous kit.
He later "found god" and returned the kit, used! Saying sorry and wanted forgiveness for his sin! (I am not joking!)

It does seem open to abuse, but I suppose the seller must consider this when deciding the best way to post it.

I know this doesn't help, but if the buyer only wants to pay for 1st class delivery, it is imposible to get it traced isn't it, therefore
how can Paypal decide like that ???

I make a point of specifying recorded delivery as standard on all sales - just in case of this kind of dispute.
