for the engine and carbs I'll start the bidding at £ 250 cash.
(don't need rocker cover whcih is wroth around £ 30).
it is probably worth a little bit more than that but got to sart somewhere and save on ebay listing/final fees

It's probably worth about £700 to a grand, but I doubt you will be offered that, best chance to acheive the true value would probably be to
break the whole sale to components ie engine, box, exhaust and so on
Finaly going Toyota? or bec ?

As one lot I'll bet you wouldn't get much more than about £600 :-( ...... but the cylinder head would probably go for just under £200 on
it's own, the sump £150ish and the carbs and manifold about £200ish again......and you've still got the megajolt/exhaust/block etc to
sell....
If it's a Caterham Supersport rocker cover btw they rarely sell for less than £50 on ebay

I would be tempted to offer it to the mark 2 escort boys on Oldskool ford and turbosport who look with dewy eyes at these engines and whilst working
tol ocost principles may very wellplace higher values on this as a complete and workable unit to drop into their painstakingly restored shells.
we sold a 1760 x flow for around the £650 mark so it has to be worth more than that with flash carbs, handful of receipts etc
Good luck anyway

The Eng. and box are listed on turbosport at the mo for £750.
i'd be willing to knock off another 100 for locost builders.

should hopefully be in by the end of November, as you didnt get a chance to have a look, this is what it will be going into my daily hack of a 1972
rally prepped mk1 escort
its replacing a 1300xflow that although kicked out a good 80bhp wasnt enough and was starting to get tired, id planned to fit a shorrock supercharger
but its going to be a good few years till thats going to happen, so this will keep me going in the meantime
thanks again

the thought had crossed my mind , i think you can do it with any dellortos due to everything having seals, plus a supercharger is only say 5-7psi so
you can probably get away with it... it is an attractive option especially with all these cheap mini/eaton chargers about
