RV8 Radiator (again!)
Hi folks,
There has been lots of discussion on what is a suitable radiator for the RV8 that will fit in a locost, but there arent many conclusions about what
actually works.
So, without going into the theory of what may or may not work, is anyone successfully using a Polo radiator (40 quid new)?
Or a Land Rover Discovery (100+ quid new)?
Anything else?
(My chassis is +4 inches so I guess I have a bit more choice)
Thanks!

Rad
I have a Viento with an Alfa V6.
I used a rad from a volvo 740,
Fitted ok and seems to have plenty of cooling for my V6.

That engine looks fantastic! Maybe if I use a volvo rad my RV8 will look as good? Maybe not...
Anyway, that does sound like a good option to try, I'm surprised that such a big car has such a relatively small radiator.

A Golf rad is the same as Polo but about 50mm wider... gives you a bit more capacity.

Thanks for the comments, If anything the engine bay is looking a little tidier now and I'm in the middle of altering the exhaust system
As for a trip, when the weather is better you are more than welcome.

I have a Rover V8 and Polo rad, and it's fine.
Sitting in traffic when it was scorching outside (in an open car), and it would warm up a bit.
Drilled the thermostat out with a few more holes and it's been ok since
