welding

my auto dark welding mask seems to have stopped working tried new batterys still no joy

can anyone recommend a good budget helmet my old one is 7-13 bright to dark.it will only get used on the odd ocassion

Did you leave it in the garage over the winter frosts? They really don't like the cold so I'm led to believe from an old thread.
Sorry that doesn't help much, but it might save the next one.

Yep they are life expired after a spell in a cold garage.

I just bought one for £22 delivered from ebay. It is awesome, so much better than my standard helmet. I think the seller was something like 'Debbies Tools'.

I got a Parweld one for about £50. Solar Powered, variable shade, and its pretty lightweight and comfortable. I got it from diywelding

But try weldequipe as I know he does these and he's pretty competitive and is good service. welders@supanet.com if you want to contact him. He's freindly and helpful so just ask him what he's got.

thanks for the replys ,my welding helmet has done two years cold winters in the garage so guess it will be going in the bin .
£50.00 for a solar one sounds like a good deal .
