Sorted out my inlet Plenum issues

a friend on here ( marcus ) sent me a picture yesterday of a westfield inlet plenum to be used with the stock mondeo EFi.

this looked perfect for wat i needed.

i then called westfield yesterday and enquired about it - and they said they knew what i meant and had one in stock, so i ordered it.

lo-and-behold - im in the garage today early in the morning and a parcel force van arrives with my parcel!!!

result!

so i fitted it up ( comes with jub-clips and small section of hose to connect it to the throttlebody ).

works a treat...

i then made a bracket to mount the airflow meter as follows

the filter will get fresh air from the bonnet scoop and to stop any hot air from the exhaust manifold being sucked in ( or to try and reduce it as much as i can ) i made a heat shield out of some steel sheet from homebase.

im then going to use a 120mm 12v Pc fan and a air duct on the side of the bonnet to help expell hot air..

really please - a really good day today.

the fan will not make any differenece past a few mph, and you only need the fresh air when your moving...lots of it
