Fitting lower balljoints

I'm about to fit the balljoints to the lower wishbones and not sure which fixings to use. The kit came with a huge selection of nuts & bolts but none seems right.
The nearest I've found are 8mm button-head screws but they don't look right in the 3/8" / 10mm hole; but they are OK for length and there's four of them.

These four screws bear the full static + dynamic weight of the front end so I'm looking for some reassurance that the generous clearance is OK - or do I need to source more suitable alternatives myself. A colleague has suggested they should be 12.9 rated which makes sense.
Any advice?

Mautok,

I have just fitted the lower ball joints to my Indy wishbones.

Don't know if they are in your kit (I got the basic kit), but I used 12.9 M10x30mm socket cap bolts and nylon self locking nuts with washers top and bottom. This should leave 2-3 threads exposed after tightening the nuts.

HTH

Cheers

Nick
