Heat Shrink

Not too serious this one , but why does heatshrink on cabling only shrink in one direction ??

It never shrinks in length only diameter.

Kept me awake all last night try into figure it !!!

I'm worried this build might be doing stange things to me !!!

GOOD QUESTION
Never thought about it before and I use it every day. You must have a very quiet life with too much time on your hands

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

it is because only the diameter is expanded, (many years ago i help build the machine that makes it for Hellerman Electric)
