Zetec conversion with Dellortos

I'm converting from pinto to zetec, and while fitting the new inlet manifold I see my Dellortos side carbs hit the master cylinder.

I can't move the engine forward as the gearstick will then hit the dash in 1st and 3rd

A shorter master cylinder is the way to go (I think), but from which donor?

Any advise on what model would be best or what else I could try?

Thanks

I thought the usual one was a sierra one, the mondeo one is shorter though. From pictures on ebay it appears to have 4 outlets (or maybe I'm wrong), whereas mine only has 3 (2 front, 1 rear). What do you do with the other one? Or have I got it wrong...
Thanks

I believe one of the rear ones is simply blanked off to get around the issue. I think the Sierra one being longer will require you to move the engine forward, which from your posts on the Tiger forum i believe you are trying to avoid (as it moves the gearstick forward too far and a) hits the dash, and b) means your carpet set wont fit any more.

THanks for that. I'll grab one from ebay and give it a go. Last stupid question, how do you blank off an outlet?
