Brake hose lengths
Please could someone tell me the lenghts of the braided hoses used on an Indy please.

Presumably they're in pairs aren't they? I'm pretty sure the fronts are longer than the rears.

ok then...
guess you haven't got them then  in which case you could always ask for longer lengths. IIRC our's were 14". But, I will check
tonight - as I'll be "doing a bit" > 'er indoors < (me).
If you buy the MK brake kit - you get a set of 4 all the same length.

Wanna order mine ASAP and my track is the same as the Indy so thought this was a good place to start!

I re-used the front sierra hoses on the rear of my indy, with suitible barckets located on the rear bulkhead and i expect to get some landrover disco
(pre 92 type 3.5 V8) front hoses for the front (about 10-15 euro's each!) IF they fit, ill let you guys know.
btw, to stay on thread, the disco hoses are 470mm long, from tip to tip, as are the MK hoses.

It will all depend on where you put the chassis brackets. I bought the bits to make up mu own braided hoses, then just cut to length after checking
they did not fail when going lock-lock. Easy to do yourself and no special tools required.

Was at a car tuning place Saturday morning and managed to pick up 2x19" and 2x10" Goodridge hose for £9 each.

Landy hoses
The Landy hoses fit the indy. Nice spring wound ones they are, too!

Home made brake hoses
I was informed on this forum that the flex. pipes had to be pressed together and the bolt together ones would not pass sva. Can someone out there give
me the correct answer David

There was a thread that covered this about 7 months ago. I think the bottom line was that Goodridge style ones are OK, and any others that work by
having a inner support for the pipe as part of the end fitting....Like i say check the thread out and if all fails go and see Mr. SVA and ask him.
