Making suspention brackets

Hi Guys.
I hope I'm teaching you to suck eggs

But yesterday I started to make up my suspention brackets. Not at all happy with the results by bending them in the vice.
Then last night I had a flash of insperation. Make up a bending jig for it ! doh

Anyway it worked so well I thought I would share it with you.
Yes I know it was a lot of faffing about.
It took about 1/2hr to make, but with it I had all the brackets drilled and bent in less than a hour. Infact it took longer to to round off the ends

Took some 40mm angle iron. welded on some 3mm flat plate so the bracket fitted snugly.

Then welded another piece of 3m plate over the top.

made up a bending arm with 8mm studding and a couple of nuts.
welded the nuts to the angle.and the studding to the bending arm.

then clamped it to the drill press and drilled through the lot. making sure it was all lined up.

So there you have it, drilled and bent with one simple jig.
