Don't paint epoxy 121 with a paint brush

I tried painting my chassis today with epoxy 121. It says it can be brushed on. What they didn't say was that it would look Shite!
Looks like a trip to the sand blasters is on the cards!

how many litres to to cover the chassis ? as its not cheap.

How long did it take to go of ?

You can tell what my next job is

I used a water based enamel...I've never had good results with water based paints before, but I though these guys must know what they are doing right ?

Well.......it doesn't adhere..doesn't dry (after 4/6 weeks at approaching 100 degrees....) so you are not alone suffering from shite paint syndrome.

Sooo it's grit blast and re-paint for me too, but I'm going to build it up and run it a bit..at least it will photograph OK, and I'll be sound if I need more welding.....Looking on the bright side eh?

bugger sorry to hear that

btw i too used enamel in fact last night i slapped some on a piece of tin jus to see what would happen
looked today lovely smooth finish

hope the sandblasting goes well for you
