Escort Ghia mk2
In my parents drive I have an Escort 1.3 4-door Ghia which has been there under covers for about 2 years. I bought it as a rot box (repairable but a
LOT of work!!) but ideal for spares or a locost project. Unfortunately I have now moved to France and the car is still there. The car is a runner
and the 1.3 motor sounds as sweet as the day it left the factory with no major smoke or rattles even on the first turn of the key.
So, I am open to offers from anyone. The car is based in Blackburn Lancashire less than 2 miles from the football ground and about 4 miles from the
M65.
As many of you may know the 1.3 ghia has a 4.1 diff and larger 9" rear drum brakes. Twin choke carb and a few other tweaks over the standard L
models.
I removed the front and rear ghia seats a while ago and are now in France. If the seats are needed I could bring them over on my next visit to the UK
in the back of the car, but the escort is fitted wih tatty standard L ones.
