East Anglian get-together (WEATHER UPDATE!)

Just a thought - now that the weather resembles Summer, is it time for a North Essex/South Suffolk* get-together in the lofty heights of the mighty Essex Alps? (a.k.a. Mt Bures)

David

* Anyone else welcome too - even those from Cambridgeshire!

Unsure when - I'm looking for the usual "I can't make whatever-day in the evenings" discussion!

(Last time I think it took 2 weeks to agree on a day and time... )

A Sunday lunchtime? Sounds good - probably not this Sunday though, the weather forecast looks iffy (not that you can rely on them anyway )

OK - I'll nominate a date and we'll see how it goes...

Sunday, 6th July, 12:00 noon

at

The Thatchers Arms
Mount Bures, Bures, Suffolk CO8 5AT
Tel: 01787 227460

This is a nicy, tidy pub with a big car park, good beer and a decent reputation for food. The approach roads from almost every direction are well-suited to 7-style cars - reasonably fast and twisty - and reasonable access from Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Now all we need is a nice day!

Sounds good to me - will pull out the stops and try to get my car back on the road for then!

Hope you can fix it in time!

Oh - I've added a vital bit of info to 'the booking' - a time of 12:00 noon!

Also changed the title to clarify what it's about - maybe attract a few more folk.

I'm not planning to change the date - but the current met office weather forecast for the weekend is wet and windy...
