Zetec Engine Codes
Hi,
I've just spent an hour or so trawling the 'net trying to confirm the age of my engine by it's number.
Finally found this useful Polish site that lists Zetec engine prefixes. This identifies my engine (prefix NGD) as having been manufactured between
Sept '96 and May '98. Interesting as I was assured it was from a 2000 Mondeo. S'ppose it could have been manufactured earlier and
fitted to a 2000 vehicle. Not a lot in it either way really.
Just thought I'd post it up in case it's of any use to anyone else.
