While police officers were attempting to transfer M. Yevloyev to an Interior Ministry office, an incident occurred," said Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for the investigative committee of the prosecutor general's office

Presumably the "incident" being when the police capped him in the head and dumped his body by the side of the road.....

The Russian administration is getting a little silly (understatement) recently and seems to be doing really stupid things

I would love to hear the police's story behind this indcident.

I imagine it would be something like.......

"We were driving along when the car hit a bump and I accidently shot the prisoner in the head. We rushed to the hospital but when we got there he was not in the car... he must have fallen out the open car window somewhere along the road without us noticing. We were going to go back and look for him but couldn't remember what road we were on, and anway there were vodkas waiting for us back at the station."

-- Please note this story has no basis in fact and is purely made up--

(I really dont fancy a visit from the Russian secret police, I dread to think what could happen in a car ride all the way from here to Moscow)

don't you hate it when you accidentally shoot someone in the temple and then accidentally dump them in a ditch and drive off.

Can't count the number of times this has happened to me

everyday occurrence with me as well

My Russian friends son-in-law disappeared and was found shot in a wood last year.

Either the police or the Mafia; who knows?
