Newsite blocking software
I putting an old work PC in my teenage daughters bedroom. I need to block a number of social networking sites including Bebo (she's on a ban for
previous misuse).
Is there any software that will do this for me?

You need to modify your HOSTS file.
A quick google search for this should reveal all.

Check your router, with mine (cheapo netgear one) I can connect to the router and tell it to block any services or keywords (bebo. youtube etc.).
Much better than a software solution IMHO.

Using Privoxy will also block a of stuff.
It free just do Google for Privoxy.
Treewalk DNS can also do it but that is getting a bit too techie.

Sounds like a good plan - I've got a Netgear router so should be able to do it ok.
Modifying HOST files is not something I want to start doing
