1400 zetec s

Could anyone tell me of the possibility (or otherwise ) of mating the 1400 zetec s engine to a type 9 'box.

Should be the same as the 1.6 se

see Shawspeed

The bits are not cheap..

Ginetta do it with junior car, it's a standard ford bellhousing. Don't know which one unfortunately though.

What year engine are you looking at? Zetec SE Sigma engine i assume?? If so then i think you will be needing a bellhousing from the likes of Shawspeed

No, not the sigma (I think), the one from the Fiesta of around '97 vintage.

Yup thats a Sigma - just sold a Sigma to type 9 bell housing on ebay for a rather pitiful £99

I'm sure it goes onto the type 9 with an off the shelf bellhousing. Will try and find out.

off the shelf of somewhere like Shawspeed (or Ginetta maybe) yes, off the shelf of Ford pre 1995 no - trust me , Ford have never made a rwd bellhousing for it

Go one do it you know it makes sense!!! Very cheap engine to buy, very easy to tune and the bellhousing Ginetta use come from Shawspeed!
The bits are similar money to any other engine the beauty of this engine is it is K series weight. mark
Any other information needed drop me a line, there is not much i do not know about this engine
